Magic Hour (magichour.ai) is seeking a contract Software Engineer to work across web development and AI video generation experimentation. You’ll build and ship product features across our web stack (frontend + backend), integrate and optimize AI video models, and run rapid experiments to improve generation quality, speed, and reliability. This role requires strong full-stack skills (modern JS frameworks, APIs, cloud infrastructure) combined with hands-on experience working with generative AI systems (prompting, evaluation, model tuning, inference pipelines). You should be comfortable moving fast, owning features end-to-end, and iterating in a highly experimental environment where product and research overlap.
This role is open to all backgrounds, including very talented high schoolers and college students with minimal formal experience. Magic Hour is very interested in training up young talent and has a track record of doing so.
