<p><strong>Location: Remote (±3 timezones from PST)</strong></p> <h3>About Bluelight</h3> <p>Bluelight is building software tools to help home service contractors build successful businesses.</p> <p>We are relentlessly pursuing a world where analytics and AI products deliver actual real-world value, not just hype.</p> <h3>The Job at a Glance</h3> <p>As a Product Engineer you will build and own products &amp; features from beginning to end.</p> <p>This means talking to users, understanding our strategy and goals, and figuring out what you (and the team) should be building next.</p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <p>Product engineers at Bluelight are truly full stack. You’ll design and ship the front end in React/Next.js, write Postgres and/or Clickhouse queries, and, depending on the team, develop and fine-tune machine learning models in Python.</p> <ul> <li>Develop and optimize applications within our tech stack (Next.js and Postgres).</li> <li>Transform low-fidelity UX wireframes into high-quality, functional user interfaces.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with the founding team to refine both product and technical roadmaps.</li> <li>Design and implement effective product growth loops in partnership with our product team.</li> </ul> <h3>About You</h3> <p>We are looking for someone who:</p> <ul> <li>Has a proven track record of successful projects that significantly improved user experience.</li> <li>Possesses a deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.</li> <li>Has hands-on experience developing and shipping applications using Next.js and Postgres.</li> <li>Thrives in a startup environment—self-motivated, highly efficient, and capable of working independently.</li> <li>Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or has equivalent practical experience.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Why Bluelight?</strong></h3> <p>Join us and contribute to a team that values innovation, efficiency, and direct impact.
